opie

I adopted my orange angel when he was 5 weeks old. He cried whenever I put him down, so I held him until he learned to follow me around.

I can't believe how tiny he was!

Six years later, he still follows me around, and he always wants to snuggle.

At 18 1/2 pounds, he doesn't quite fit on my shoulder anymore :(

I have a cat that looks just like Opie. His name is Crush. I got him at about 5 weeks also. He fell in the commode one Sunday afternoon and almost drown. My son found him limp and lifeless and soaking wet. He some how survived and is 6 months or so now. He is such a loving cat too!

What an amazing cat! I found my very first kitty when I was still single, in my early twenties. She was a newborn kitten dropped by her momma. She fit in the palm of my hand and, just like Opie, she cried every time I put her down. Consequently, I held her on my shoulder as much as possible. When I did put her down, she would stand on her back legs, put her front paws together and meow. It looked as if she were praying for me to pick her up. How could I resist that?? She grew up to live a long and spoiled life as a part of our family.
Warmly,
Tracey
