Two weeks in the town where I usually stay are enough to make even the most stable person start contemplating a Sylvia Plath like exit strategy. I'm not doing that again, so this time, I'll stay in a lovely city called Vejle and commute 20 - 30 minutes to work.
On my last trip, I found a little free time to walk around Vejle with my camera. Here are some the photos from that gray September day...

In the center of town there's a really cool pedestrian shopping area that has everything from restaurants and boutiques to an H&M, The Body Shop, a supermarket, and the obligatory McDonald's. There are sculptures, benches, and fountains throughout. Definitely beats a strip mall!
This little river runs through part of the downtown area and it's crossed by these rusty looking bridges of various designs. I took photo of this one because I liked the randomness of the frog beneath the bridge.
Unlike here where I look bit odd riding my bike to the grocery store, post office, library, salon, etc., there are bikes everywhere in Vejle. Oh, and Subway has invaded!
I just thought this was a cool looking building.
And another cool looking building :)
When I get tired of falafel, I make a pilgrimage to Tortilla Flats for veggie fajitas. A couple trips back, I rode there in the trunk of an Audi because we had one rental car and a party of 7. I'm only 5'2" and about 110 lbs, so yeah, there was no way I could pull rank, and into the trunk I went!I'll be spending my Halloween on an airplane, and will "see" you in a little over 2 weeks :)
