Eurovision

June 2, 2010 By Sage 5 Comments

I officially own foreign real estate!!! By “officially” I mean I’ve assumed a 14% interest loan until the government officially processes my more reasonable loan, and I’m in debt for a property to which I don’t have keys.

But the real point of this post is to talk about Eurovision!!!

Eurovision is a European song contest where artists compete in their home country for the opportunity to compete in the semi-finals. Voting is done American Idol style via SMS messaging, you can’t vote for the country you’re calling from, and the 25 highest scoring acts go on to the finals.

Saturday night, I attended my first Eurovision Finals “Gala” and I’m completely smitten with Milan Stanković from Serbia…

I know you’re probably thinking that the stress of the move has gotten to me and that I’ve finally cracked, but…

I love that he so clearly loves to perform! I love his silly outfit! I love his hair! And I love his choreography! Milan makes me smile and yes, I do sing his song in the shower :)

Yikes! I don’t know what is more nightmarish:
14% Interest or the set and costume of Milan Stanković from Serbia…

Was the stage set up like this video at the Eurovision Gala that you attended? Interesting.

I hope that you soon have a more reasonable mortgage rate. Will you be moving in this weekend?

I’m sure that Opie looks forward to patrolling the new flat. He will keep any meeses at bay.

LOL! Watching Milan makes the 14% bearable, his good cheer is contagious ;)

I should only be paying the 14% for 2-3 weeks, then I’ll have a much more reasonable loan where the interest rate on my savings account is identical to the rate on my loan, so they offset each other.

I’m moving in as soon as I get the keys and borrow a car to transport Opie. I don’t care if I’m sleeping on the floor, I’ve had enough of living like a gypsy!

Yes, Milan’s good cheer is contagious. A great live performance is a treasure.

Opie told me that he would be in favor of having Movers bring his royal sofa into the flat a.s.a.p.

Okay. I found myself smiling too. And for some reason it makes me want to bellydance. LOL

That Opie is a smart one ;)

My shipping container isn’t due into port until June 12, then it needs to clear customs, so the actual delivery date is anyone’s guess :(
