Italian Marzipan

January 17, 2011 By Sage 5 Comments

Aren’t they delightful? I found them in a sweet shop in Siena, Italy.

Siena is the sort of picturesque city that makes you daydream over your cappuccino about a sexy Italian man whisking you away through the narrow cobblestone streets on a vintage Vespa to his family’s Tuscan villa.

Did I mention that the city is surrounded by olive groves and an ancient wall?

*sigh*

I ran across your site through Pleasant View Schoolhouse and enjoyed glancing through – you take beautiful photographs! One side of my family is Danish and we still follow many Danish traditions. We go where the Army tells us to, but we’ve both lived in Europe in the past and hope to be posted there some day. In the meantime I’ll live vicariously through other folks’ blogs like yours.

    Hi Ladies :)

    Thanks for stopping by!

Sarah: Thanks for the compliment re: my photos. I hope you make it back to Europe, in the meantime, I hope you’re able to enjoy where you are!

smilingsurfer: In my next life, I’d like to come back as a Roman (or a Tuscan). What I wouldn’t give to speak Italian, live in one of those fabulously old flats (or villas), and be whisked around on the back of a Vespa :)

Once upon a time, I had the chance to move to the happiest country in the world!

My restless Aries spirit liked that idea, so I did what any girl in my position would do… I grabbed my cat, booked a one-way ticket to Denmark, and became an expat!
