Svinkløv Badehotel

I’ve seen a place just like this in my mind’s eye… just a simple wood framed hotel, surrounded by beachgrass. Or maybe it was in an Anne of Green Gables induced dream.

Inside, the dining room was in made in proper Scandinavian style, buckets of white paint on bead board and wood plank floors, just a touch of color on the mouldings and table linens.

Outside, a handful of weather beaten tables overlooked sand dunes and the brooding North Sea.  I sat wrapped in a wool blanket, drinking coffee, eating kringle, and trying to capture it all for future daydreams…
