Thrifted Change Purse

November 9, 2014 By Sage 2 Comments

Just because I haven’t posted a lot of secondhand treasures lately doesn’t mean I’ve lost my love of treasure hunting. Scoring an awesome thrift shop deal will always excite me far more than some fancy new something or other :)

Fabulous finds are tougher to come by in Aarhus where there are more people shopping, but it still happens from time to time… my friend recently found a Mulberry handbag for 30 kr. (about $5), talk about being in the right place at the right time!

Maybe a bit less impressive, this adorable little change purse only set me back 10 kr. (less than $2).  It’s lined with red satin plus I can easily fit a lipstick in the bottom… thrift shopping aarhus

Oh, how funny! I was given that very item on my wedding day — my best friend brought me lipstick because she knew I wouldn’t have any on hand! (I’m not girly enough a lot of the time…Just not very practical for my lifestyle working out in the weather & mud…)

It is a very cute purse! Mine is no longer with me…

Wildside and Sage, isn’t that the loveliest of serendipitous coincidences? What a small world in a very big online one! I’m rather smitten the sweet change purse too, though currently lack the girly, glam life for it. I’m a bit envious of your thrifting opps and skills. I have neither the time to devote nor tolerance for the mostly (IME) stale-smoke, mildewy shops… though I’ve scored a few cashmere sweaters in such places and more recently (and happily) on ebay. Just a tip if Aarhus can’t deliver on your thrift passion. ;)

Once upon a time, I had the chance to move to the happiest country in the world!

My restless Aries spirit liked that idea, so I did what any girl in my position would do… I grabbed my cat, booked a one-way ticket to Denmark, and became an expat!
