Thrifted Desk Chair

June 11, 2011 By Sage 5 Comments

Tied to my bike with bungee cords because when the perfect desk chair shows up at the secondhand shop for 165 Crowns (about $30), there’s no time to be a princess. After paying $40 to replace the light bulb in my bathroom, yes the light bulb, not the actual light, I needed something like this!

Making a Home

May 8, 2011 By Sage 4 Comments

I’ve been diligently stalking the thrift shops since early May to no avail. I contemplated buying something new,… Continue Reading

New Mudroom Curtains

April 14, 2009 By Sage 2 Comments

I mentioned last week that I was sewing curtains for my mudroom. I finished them today and what a difference $8.99 and a few hours can make! Here’s the door with a valance I half heartedly reappropriated from somewhere else in the house. It had been like this for longer than I’d like to admit…… Continue Reading

Once upon a time, I had the chance to move to the happiest country in the world!

My restless Aries spirit liked that idea, so I did what any girl in my position would do… I grabbed my cat, booked a one-way ticket to Denmark, and became an expat!
